Leadership Camp provides a fun atmosphere helping kids with character building, coping skills and making connections, along with extensive training to become tomorrow’s great leaders. This elite camp has a slightly different focus than the other camps. During Leadership Camp, campers learn how they can use their disease or illness as a positive tool in their lives. Communication and public speaking skills are emphasized because we feel that it is imperative that campers feel comfortable with sharing their amazing stories.
Campers participate in daily leadership activities to help them build leadership skills and confidence. During the daily “group” sessions, campers share details about the positive and negative sides of their illnesses. These sessions strengthen the bonds between the campers and allow them to openly encourage one another.
